In short

The short version

Youth Swimming at The Pod Aquatics covers ages 4 and up, from a first unassisted swim to full strokes and lane work. Private lessons are one instructor to one swimmer at 15 or 30 minutes; group lessons run 30 minutes with a maximum of five swimmers per instructor. Lessons are indoors and heated, so they run all twelve months.

What to expect

Stroke fundamentals, strength and confidence.

After Basic Training, swimmers develop the fundamentals of strokes and continue building strength and confidence. Choose focused private lessons, or group settings that add social skills and structure.

A year-round program introducing fundamental aquatic skills: floats, glides, breath control, flutter kicking, body position, sculling, rhythm and coordination, so students grow comfortable, confident and efficient in the water.

Our approach

In addition to swimming, each session emphasizes teaching respect for authority, others and self; challenging students to broaden their knowledge and understanding; instilling self-discipline by adhering to practice and team rules; and stressing the importance of good sportsmanship.
